Deliveroo is selling invisible Easter eggs

Egg, what egg? A brand new 'invisible' Easter egg that can be delivered straight to your front door has just been launched by Deliveroo – and we think it's a cracking idea (if you can find it).

The eggs are available in Manchester and London over the Easter weekend and come in two delicious flavours – chocolate and Cointreau (so the big kids can get involved, too).

Packaged with three pots of edible decoration and art supplies, the eggs are a great way to keep the whole family entertained at home without the calories or the hefty price tag.

The translucent Easter eggs are made from premium grade gelatine and purified water in order to make them clear. The chocolate and Cointreau flavourings are produced using a centrifuge, this scientific equipment extracts flavour by spinning materials at high speeds to achieve separation.

For those looking to indulge without the guilt, these eggs are the perfect treat; with no more than 215 calories per egg and at a price that won’t break the bank.

Hide them for the kids and make it a race to see who finds theirs first, before you all spend time together decorating them, and then...scoffing them.

Deliveroo's Invisible Eggs are the much anticipated sequel to last year’s sold out Dragon Eggs, launched to celebrate the final series of Game of Thrones. But the online food delivery service isn't alone in creating a unique twist for Easter, as Ikea recently launched an edible flatpack chocolate bunny.

The Deliveroo Invisible Eggs are available from Good Friday (10 April) at £1.95 (chocolate flavour) and £2.15 (Cointreau flavour) in London and Manchester.
