Cadbury owner Mondelez is seeking chocolate tasters

Many of us treat ourselves to a bar of chocolate as a pick-me-up during the working day - now Cadbury is offering sweet-toothed Britons the chance to make a career out of indulging their cravings.

Cadbury owner Mondelez International is seeking four new chocolate tasters to test products before they hit the shops.

In addition to Cadbury, Mondelez owns brands including Green & Black's, Oreo and Milka.

The successful candidates will work as part of a 12-strong team tasting chocolate and cocoa drinks, helping the company perfect its recipes ahead of their global release.

All the roles are part time, with tasters working no more than eight hours per week in order to avoid 'palate fatigue'.

No experience needed

"No experience is required as full training will be provided to develop your taste buds and the specific vocabulary required to communicate your opinions," the job advert states.

Candidate requirements

A passion for confectionary and taste buds for detection Honesty when it comes to giving opinion Eager to try new inventive products A communicative personality A firm grasp of English

The new starters will be based in Wokingham near Reading, Berkshire, at Mondelez International's Global Research Centre and will receive an hourly wage of £10.75.

Afsha Chugtai, who works at the Wokingham site, said: 'We can't wait to see who makes the cut this year.'
